NAVRAS: EK SRIJAN YATRA

Delhi Public School, Dwarka, presented its Annual Stage Production Navras: Ek Srijan Yatra with great zeal and artistic splendour. The production was staged over a span of two days i.e., 28 and 29 August 2025.

On Thursday, 28 August, the Chief Guest gracing the occasion was Mr. V. K. Shunglu, Vice Chairman, The DPS Society warmly accompanied by Mrs. Madhu Shunglu. Other eminent dignitaries included Ms. Namita Pradhan, Honorary Treasurer, DPS Society, Ms. Vrinda Sarup, Member, Managing Committee, DPS Dwarka, and Ms. Sunita Tanwar, Secretary, DPS Society and former Principal of DPS Dwarka.

On Friday, 29 August, the school had the privilege of welcoming Mr. B. K. Chaturvedi, Chairman, The DPS Society, as the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Mr. Kaushik Dutta, Chairman, DPS Dwarka, as the Guest of Honour, and Dr. Nandini Choudhury Sen, Member, Managing Committee, DPS Dwarka.

In her address, the Principal, Ms. Priya Narayanan, reflected on the glorious 30-year journey of DPS Dwarka, which has grown into a vibrant institution nurturing thousands of young minds with excellence, values, innovation and confidence. Madam Narayanan paid a heartfelt tribute to the former Principals whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for remarkable legacy. Addressing the students, she reminded them that as torchbearers, they embody the legacy of Thriving at Thirty, a beacon inspiring them to dream bigger and serve with purpose. Concluding her speech, she extended gratitude to the guests, parents, teachers and staff, whose unwavering support has shaped the school’s path of distinction.

In his address, Mr. Kaushik Dutta, Chairman, DPS Dwarka commended the illustrious journey of the school over the past 30 years. Highlighting its remarkable contribution to education, he noted with pride that more than 5,500 students have graduated from the institution, many of whom today hold distinguished positions in society. He lauded the school’s consistent pursuit of excellence and its role in nurturing responsible, accomplished individuals.

Mr. V. K. Shunglu, Vice Chairman, The DPS Society extended his felicitations to DPS Dwarka on completing thirty glorious years. He lauded the institution’s constant evolution as a vibrant community shaped by the synergy of parents, teachers, students and society. Calling DPS an experiential journey beyond description, he applauded the school for imparting values that transcend academics. Mr. Shunglu urged the students to embrace the future with courage while upholding the ideals of excellence and integrity, as worthy torchbearers of tomorrow.

Mr. B.K. Chaturvedi, Chairman, The DPS Society, lauded the comperes for their excellent compering in pure Hindi, which added dignity to the event. He also extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their dedicated efforts and commendable performances. Furthermore, he warmly welcomed the parents and expressed sincere gratitude for their presence, acknowledging their support in making the occasion more meaningful.

The programme commenced with a soulful orchestra and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. The cultural highlight was the stage presentation Navras: Ek Srijan Yatra, a vibrant celebration of emotions, creativity, and the human spirit through music, dance, and drama. Showcasing inclusivity and holistic education, the production beautifully echoed the theme Thriving at Thirty, portraying three decades of DPS Dwarka’s vibrant educational journey and its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The two-day celebration concluded with a warm vote of thanks and a group photograph, capturing the joyous milestone and leaving the audience inspired to continue the journey of dreaming bigger and aiming higher.

    The much-awaited Dissertation Presentation for Cambridge Primary Stage 3 was held with great enthusiasm and joy on Tuesday, 26 August and Wednesday, 27 August 2025.

    The event was a true celebration of learning, wherein the young researchers displayed their knowledge, creativity and confidence. Each child, armed with curiosity and guided by their parents and teachers, stepped forward to share their meticulously prepared Power Point dissertations. Topics such as Taking care of Planet Earth, Water is precious, Reading empowers young minds, and Communication is the key to unlock personality came alive through their vibrant presentations.

    The august presence of the Principal, Ms. Priya Narayanan and Vice Principal, Ms. Anubha Malhotra, added a special grace to the occasion. The children, in a touching gesture of affection, presented them with badges as tokens of love, symbolizing the bond of respect between the young learners and their mentors. The logo of the batch, a silhouette of a child’s profile holding a flourishing tree inside, beautifully symbolized the vision of Cambridge. The growing tree reflected learners’ blossoming knowledge, while the colourful circles on its branches represented the diversity of ideas they nurture. The open hands beneath the tree stood for guidance and support, while the bright yellow circle embodied the light of learning.

    The event was attended by parents, whose joy and pride knew no bounds. Their faces lit up with delight as they watched their children speak with confidence and clarity, taking ownership of their learning journey. The entire atmosphere was charged with warmth, applause and admiration.

    The Dissertation Presentation truly reflected the school’s belief that education is not only about answering questions, but also about raising them, exploring new ideas, and nurturing young minds to grow into independent, thoughtful individuals. The event culminated with a grand display of learners’ creative pieces of work across various subject disciplines. With great joy and pride, children presented their artwork to their parents as takeaways.

    It was indeed a memorable morning, etched in the hearts of children, parents and teachers alike.

      Day/Date: Wednesday, 27 August 2025

      Children of Pre-School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and joy. The little ones looked adorable in traditional attires, adding colour and charm to the day. The programme began with the Ganesha Aarti, followed by confident young speakers who shared why and how the festival is celebrated. Children recited poems on Lord Ganesha and chanted the ‘Vakratunda Mahakaya’ Mantra, filling the atmosphere with positivity.

      A delightful dance performance by Preschoolers won the hearts of all. In consonance with the celebrations, children enjoyed watching the movie *“Bal Ganesha”, with excitement. They all relished ‘Modak’ packed in their tiffins. The celebration ended on a sweet note as the kids enjoyed making cute Ganesha craft as a take away.

      It was truly a joyful and memorable day filled with festivity and gaiety.

        The preschoolers had an exciting and educational visit to a nearby departmental store. The little explorers observed a wide variety of items like fruits, vegetables, snacks, dairy products, stationery, and household goods, neatly arranged in different sections.

        They were amazed to see how people picked up items in baskets and how billing was done at the counter. The children watched closely as barcodes were scanned, totals were calculated, and bills were printed.

        The visit helped them to understand where things come from before reaching home and how shopping is done in an organized way. It was a fun-filled learning experience that combined real-life observation with curiosity and joy.

          CLASS-V ‘WATERMELON BOTTLE ART’

          An NIE Workshop - ‘Watermelon Bottle Art’ was conducted for the students of class V on Monday, 25 August 2025 by the resource person, Ms. Shweta Jain. The aim of the workshop was to promote creativity among students and encourage the reuse of waste materials.

          Ms. Shweta demonstrated how to recycle a plastic bottle into a beautiful piece of art. She guided the students step by step, using Fevicryl paints, palette, sponge, and ribbon for the bow, water, and aprons to keep their uniforms clean.

          The children enjoyed painting the bottles with bright colours, giving them the look of watermelons. They also decorated their creations with a ribbon to make them attractive. The activity not only encouraged creativity but also gave an important message of reusing waste materials in an artistic way.

          The workshop was full of learning and fun. Students felt happy to take home their unique creations. It was indeed a memorable and inspiring session.

            As an initiative under the Inclusive Education Club, the focus for the month of August revolved around “Accepting Diversity”. A Cultural and Recreational Activity was organized on Monday, 25 August 2025, with the aim of encouraging students with diverse abilities to explore and showcase their unique skills and creativity.

            The children eagerly participated, choosing from activities such as dance, mime, song, storytelling, poem recitation and magic tricks. Exposure to the microphone was also given, allowing them to present with confidence and experience the joy of performing on stage.

            The activity not only celebrated the students’ talents but also emphasized the importance of self-expression, confidence-building, and recognizing individual strengths within an inclusive community. It fostered a sense of belonging and joy among all participants, reflecting the club’s commitment to creating a supportive and welcoming space for every child.

              It is rightly said, “All life on Earth emanates from the green of the plant.” The importance of plants in our life is irreplaceable. It is our responsibility to take care of plants as fellow beings. Keeping this in mind Green Embrace Week was carried out for the students of Cambridge Primary Stage 1 & 2 from Monday, 18 August to Friday, 22 August 2025, with an array of stimulating activities.

              Tuesday, 19 August 2025 - Plant a Seed

              • A class activity was carried out where learners planted soaked rajma seeds in a paper cup and observed miracle of sapling germinating from a seed.

               

              Wednesday, 20 August 2025 - Preserve Mother Earth

              • Learners understand that nature provides clean air and water, regulating the climate and making life possible. Learners of Stage 1 dressed up in green spoke a few lines about ‘I love nature because….. and Stage 2 spoke a few lines about ways to preserve Mother Earth.

              • Learners were taken to school greens and a small garden was established in the school yard by planting saplings provided by the school. They were explained about plant growth, care and importance of growing plants around them.
              1. Embrace a Tree
              • Nature walk was conducted to inculcate positive attitude towards nature and environment. Learners embraced/hugged the trees and spoke their heart out to show how they care for the plants.

               

              Friday, 22 August 2025 - Nature’s Symphony

              • To foster creativity and self-expression, hands-on bookmark making activity was conducted in the class. Making education interesting and constructive, the craft activity helped learners to develop focus and boost their self-esteem and confidence.

                A Poster Making Competition was conducted for Classes VI and VII on the theme “Rhythm in Raindrops (Monsoon Theme)”. The objective of the competition was to enhance students’ creativity, imagination, and artistic expression while connecting with the beauty of the monsoon season.

                Students from all four houses participated enthusiastically. Each participant showcased innovative ideas, vibrant colours, and thoughtful presentation in their posters. This activity was offered to students as a home project. The judgment was based on originality, creativity, presentation, and relevance to the theme.

                  VISIT TO SAFAL STORE
                  Day/Date: Friday, 22 August 2025

                  Children visited Safal Store on Friday, 22 August 2025. The aim of the visit was to provide hands-on experience to the children about different fruits and vegetables being sold in the store. The tiny tots learned more about the smell, colour and texture of each fruit and vegetable. The activity helped to create an awareness about the importance of consuming fruits and vegetables in regular diet. The visit was used as an opportunity to reinforce the concept of the health benefits of fruits and vegetables. Children also witnessed the process of buying and selling of fruits and vegetables in the store.

                  It was immense joy seeing the young learners enjoy and learn at the same time.

                    "I hear and I forget, I see and I remember. I do and I understand."

                    The students Cambridge EY1, observed Budding Botanist Week from 18 August to 22 August 2025, which aimed at raising awareness about plants and nutrition they provide us. The week-long celebrations encouraged creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking among students, aligning with the theme of promoting care for plants and healthy eating.

                    Inspired, encouraged and motivated budding botanists performed the activity of ‘Parts of a Plant’ where they arranged parts of a plant meaningfully. Young learners showcased their creativity through vibrant collage making on "What plants give us", using plant products they brought from home. Children actively participated in salad making using sprouts, cucumber and tomatoes. They prepared healthy and tasty salads, thus learning the importance of nutritious food. An informative session titled 'Meet n Greet 'with the school gardener was a wonderful learning experience for the children. Children visited the school plant nursery, planted saplings and learnt about the life cycle of a seed, making the experience both educational and interactive. The week concluded with fun filled 'Fruit Bonanza'. Children came dressed as their favourite fruit and spoke a few lines on the importance of eating them.

                    The hands-on, creative, and discussion-based approaches allowed students to grasp key concepts of plants and nutrition in an engaging and memorable way. The activities were a wonderful tool that engaged students in learning new facts related to plants. The week developed in them a sense of curiosity to learn more in an interesting and experiential way.

                      To promote a positive school culture and encourage students to strive for excellence, our school celebrated Young Achievers’ Week from Monday, 18 August to Friday, 22 August 2025 with great enthusiasm. The week was dedicated to inspiring students by showcasing the stories of 30 young achievers who have made a mark in different fields at a very early age.

                      On 18 August 2025, students were introduced to 15 young achievers from India and around the world who have excelled in sports, science, arts, literature, and social work. On 20 August 2025, again students learned about 15 more achievers who have set examples of courage, talent and perseverance.

                      The determination, hard work, and innovative thinking of young achievers like Malhar Kalambe, Suhas Gopinath, Greta Thunberg, Vanessa Nakate, Gitanjali Rao, Malala Yousafzai etc. motivated the children to believe that age is no barrier to success. The sessions highlighted their journeys, challenges, and accomplishments, encouraging children to dream big and work consistently towards their goals.

                      The week-long celebration created an atmosphere of inspiration and positivity in the school. It not only helped students gain knowledge about these remarkable personalities but also reminded them that they too can contribute meaningfully to society with dedication and effort.

                        ISRO Day was observed on Friday, 22 August 2025 with an aim to help students learn about ISRO, its achievements, and its future missions in space science.

                        In this regard a Power-point Presentation was shown to the students of Classes IV & V. Children came to know about ISRO, India’s space agency, and its important contributions to the country. The presentation explained ISRO’s achievements such as the launch of Aryabhata, Chandrayaan missions to the Moon, and Mangalyaan mission to Mars. Students also learned about recent successes like Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1, along with future plans like Gaganyaan and Shukrayaan.

                        The activity helped the children gain knowledge about India’s progress in space research. It also inspired them to take pride in ISRO’s achievements and encouraged them to dream about becoming young scientists in the future.

                          In alignment with the directives from the government, Delhi Public School, Dwarka, enthusiastically took part in the fourth edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. This initiative, a key part of the Independence Day festivities, week long activities were conducted from 04 - 14 August 2025, with the aim of fostering a strong sense of national pride and unity. By encouraging every citizen to hoist the national flag at their homes, the campaign sought to transform the Tiranga from a national symbol into a personal expression of patriotism.

                          The histrionic skills of the young patriots and the spirit of patriotism amongst our students was the reflection of the gaiety of the whole nation. A special tribute to ‘Incredible India’ was paid through a quiz - Symbols of Glory. Students of Pre School actively participated in the quiz. Pre-schoolers wore tricolours themed attire, attended a skit by teachers on India’s freedom struggle, brought tri-coloured food items, sang the National Anthem during the week long celebration.

                          To imbibe the sense of unity and patriotism, a spectacular week long cultural extravaganza 'Utsav...The Spirit of India, States Parade by Little Brigade’ was presented by the students of class Pre Primary.

                          To honour the sacrifices made by the brave freedom fighters of our country the school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Special Assemblies was put up by the students of Classes II and those of Classes III to V.

                          On 8 August 2025 with Badge Making for Class VI, where students designed colourful badges inspired by the spirit of freedom. The event saw enthusiastic participation, and the best creations were displayed for all to admire.

                          Slogan Writing was held for Classes VI–VIII on the theme “India – My Pride”. Using vibrant colours and thoughtful expressions, students penned inspiring messages, which were showcased on the school bulletin board.

                          On 12 August 2025, the Character Parade for Classes VI and VII brought history to life as students dressed as renowned Indian freedom fighters and national leaders. Each participant delivered a short dialogue or slogan, capturing the essence of their chosen personality. Class VIII students took part in Patriotic Poem Recitation in Hindi and English Language, stirring emotions with verses that celebrated the nation’s heritage and sacrifices.

                          Classes IX - XII celebrated Independence Day with activities promoting patriotism and respect for India’s heritage. Students chose from four options. In Patriotic Poster Making, they depicted national symbols, freedom fighters, and India’s journey to independence with striking visuals. Slogan Writing showcased crisp, impactful phrases on freedom and pride. The Independence-Themed Tabloid highlighted key events, struggles, and contributions of freedom fighters. In Patriotic Poem Recitation, participants presented self-composed poems with emotion and clarity.

                          A Documentary on Freedom Fighters was also showcased, portraying their courage and sacrifices.

                          The celebrations not only honoured the nation’s history but also inspired creativity, unity, and deeper appreciation for the sacrifices that secured India’s freedom.

                          The school's celebration commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony where the entire student body and faculty gathered to honor the Tricolour. Students were then motivated to become Har Ghar Tiranga Ambassadors by taking the flag home, displaying it with their families, and uploading a 'Tiranga selfie' to the official campaign website. Throughout the activities, students were educated on the Flag Code of India 2002 to ensure the flag was treated with the proper respect and protocol.

                          The school also organized a variety of engaging events, including a poster-making competition, an independence-themed quiz, and several cultural performances that highlighted the rich heritage and values of our nation. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Delhi Public School, Dwarka, was an undeniable success. These activities not only provided a deep-seated understanding of the flag’s significance but also inspired students to become active participants in the nation's journey towards a brighter future.                               • Children came dressed in tricolour-themed attire and took part in the Tricolour Warrior craft activity which they made with full enthusiasm as a take away. The day concluded with the heartfelt recital of the National Anthem.

                              Tuesday, 05 August – ‘SALUTE TO SHINING INDIA’

                              • Teachers presented a skit on India’s freedom struggle, introducing children to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters in a simple and engaging manner.

                              Wednesday, 06 August – ‘LET’S SOAR HIGH’

                              • A fun Kite Crafting Extravaganza using tearing and pasting techniques was conducted, allowing children to express their creativity.

                              Thursday, 07 August – ‘INDIA – MY PRIDE’

                              • Children learned about national symbols through interactive discussions and brought tri-coloured food items in their lunch, adding flavour to the patriotic theme.

                              The celebrations were both meaningful and joyful, successfully nurturing patriotism in our hearts.

                                • A special storytelling session was conducted for our young learners, where teachers narrated the story of Lord Krishna’s birth and his childhood adventures. Bhajans like chhoti chhoti gaiya…, mai kyon kaala…were recited in the class. Students participated in crafting activities where they made mukuts using sequins, mirrors, ribbons and other decorative materials. These crafts were designed to enhance their fine motor skills and foster creativity while connecting them to the theme of the celebration. The students were encouraged to come dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.

                                • Folk tales narrating stories of Krishna’s birth and victory of good over evil were shown with vibrant visuals and interactive elements to keep them engaged. Students were engaged in beautiful matki decoration while learning about the significance of this festive occasion honouring Lord Krishna’s birth and teachings.

                                The Janamashtami celebration was a delightful and educational experience for the students. Through storytelling, crafts, songs, dances, and games, the event successfully introduced the children to the cultural and spiritual significance of Janamashtami.

                                  The auspicious occasion of Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion by the students of Pre School and Pre Primary.

                                  The highlight of the celebration was ‘Krishna Leela’ a spectacular presentation by the Pre-schoolers. They came dressed in beautiful traditional attire. Principal, Madam Priya Narayanan, ushered in the spirit of Janamashtami by lighting the auspicious lamp. The celebrations began with the choir that invoked spiritual positivity and fidelity; signifying unity and faith. Little ones came forward with full confidence and spoke on the values we learn from Lord Krishna. They enacted some significant moments from Krishna's life too. This was followed by mesmerising dance performances by the little gopis and gwalas. Popular ritual of "Dahi Handi" was organized as an mark of remembrance of Lord Krishna’s love for milk and butter. Our respected Principal ma’am addressed the gathering and praised and appreciated the students for their enrapturing performances.

                                  Children were given butter and toffees as Prasad, adding charm to the occasion. Children made beautiful take aways like flutes, Krishna posters and matkis to commemorate the occasion. They also painted earthen matkis and decorated them.

                                  The festive fervour of Janmashtami also came alive when students of Pre-Primary dressed up in bright hues, presented the special assembly. The students portrayed the key episodes from Lord Krishna’s life and how we can embody his teachings in our lives. The melodious song and an elegant dance performance by the children captivated one and all.

                                  The celebrations were filled with joy, devotion, and excitement, making it a memorable experience for all.

The pledge emphasized the importance of self-discipline, awareness, and collective responsibility in eradicating drug abuse from society.

                                      An Inter-Section PowerPoint Presentation Competition on the topic “Chemistry in Everyday Life” was organised for the students of Class VII, in alignment with the objectives of the Experiential Learning in Science programme in the month of July.

                                      Students were divided into groups comprising 4–6 members each. They prepared impressive and well-structured slides showcasing the utility and importance of chemistry in daily life. The activity not only enhanced their understanding of the subject but also encouraged them to explore in depth and unravel the fascinating role of chemistry in our everyday experiences.

                                      This group learning experience further equipped them with essential teamwork skills, fostering coordination, cooperation, and effective communication.

                                          To honour the sacrifices made by the brave freedom fighters of our country the school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. A Special Assembly was put up by the students of Ganges House on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 in school auditorium.

                                          The vibrant cultural programme began with the rendition of a patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ by the school choir. This was followed by a talk show which presented a poem echoing the strong ties with nation and highlighted the contributions and sacrifices of legendary freedom fighters such as Rani Lakshmibai, who fought valiantly in the First War of Independence, Mangal Pandey, whose courage sparked the uprising of 1857, Tatya Tope, a master strategist in the freedom struggle, and Nana Sahib, who inspired resistance against British rule. A special tribute was given to Shaheed Udham Singh, whose sacrifice avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who ignited the spirit of “Swaraj is my birth right and I shall have it” among Indians.

                                          The captivating dance performance evoked a feeling of patriotism and captured the essence of the day with vibrant display of colours, festivity and nationalism.

                                          The students also highlighted that while we celebrate our hard-earned freedom, it is equally important to perform our duties towards the nation - to be responsible citizens, uphold unity, respect our heritage, and work hard to take our country forward in the future.

                                          The celebration culminated with the resolve that the nation will have a unique identity and will become world leader in future.

The assembly began with the choir enthralling the audience with rendition of a Patriotic song highlighting the immense significance of the day.

                                            The students explained the significance of Independence Day and the importance of preserving the values and ideals that our freedom fighters fought for. They encouraged everyone to contribute to the progress and development of our country. Speakers dressed up as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Tantia Tope, Gandhiji also accentuated the role of youth as the wealth of the country and brought to the fore the duties of Indian citizens. The significance to uphold unity and work towards the progress of the nation was highlighted.

                                            The event inspired everyone to uphold the ideals of democracy, unity, and integrity and left everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride. The assembly culminated with the singing of the National Anthem with pride and reverence.

                                              EVENT REPORT: “BUILD-A-BEAST”

                                              The High Octane Club of DPS Dwarka successfully conducted an engaging and innovative design event titled “Build a Beast” for students of Classes IX to XI. Held on 6 August 2025, the event aimed to spark creativity, automotive knowledge, and teamwork among participants as they constructed their dream machines.

                                              The event included:

                                                         Virtual Car Configuration, where teams selected from a wide array of engines, suspensions, transmissions, body shells, and performance upgrades to design the ultimate vehicle.

                                              • Budget Management, challenging teams to balance performance with cost efficiency within a limited virtual budget.
                                              • Investor Pitching, where teams presented and pitched their custom-built vehicles to a panel of judges. Teams had to justify their design decisions, highlight unique features, and convincingly argue why their car was best suited for the given scenario—adding an exciting real-world dimension to the competition.

                                              After intense rounds of strategic planning and design presentation, the team of Gurveer Singh of X-F, Dikshant Jain of X-A and Aarav Mendiratta of X-F emerged victorious. All winners received certificates in recognition of their achievement.

                                              The event received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback, with students praising the unique blend of engineering concepts and creativity. “Build a Beast” successfully fostered interest in automotive design and highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of modern engineering challenges. Many students look forward to more such technical and hands-on events.

                                                Students of Classes XI and XII from our school enthusiastically participated in the national-level psychology quiz Psych-ED 2025, organised by Fortis Healthcare on 7 August 2025. Now in its 8th year, this prestigious quiz has been held annually since 2016 and continues to draw wide participation from across the country. The first round was conducted online in the school computer lab, with seven teams, each comprising three students, representing our school. This year’s quiz saw participation from over 900 schools across more than 195 cities in India, with over 12,000 students competing in the preliminary round. Our top-scoring team, consisting of Bhumika (XI A), Vaanya Varun (XI B) and Nishka Dash (XI C), delivered an outstanding performance by securing 495 out of 500 marks. Their exceptional score has earned them a place in the zonal round, where only 12 teams from the Delhi-NCR region qualify from among six zones. The zonal round will be held offline on 25 August 2025, with exciting prizes awaiting the winning teams at various stages of the competition.

It encapsulates India's unique ability to blend ancient traditions with modern progress, offering a captivating experience for all.The students of Cambridge EY1 explored the rich heritage and varied cultures of India as they presented a cultural extravaganza - Tricolour Tales on Friday, 08 August 2025.

                                                  The programme commenced with mellifluous rendition of the patriotic song - My Flag, My Pride’. The saga encompassed beautifully choreographed dance that mesmerized everyone. . The amalgamated talent of all the students enthralled the audience with a breathtaking odyssey traversing through various regions of our country.

                                                  The histrionic skills of the young patriots and the spirit of patriotism amongst our students was the reflection of the gaiety of the whole nation. A special tribute to ‘Incredible India’ was paid through a quiz - Symbols of Glory. Students actively participated in the quiz. Reflecting the true spirit of India, children showcased multiplicity of cultures and unity in diversity as they journeyed through various states. Children represented the cultural, social history and the unique qualities of each state right from food to traditional attire. The mesmerising narrative received a thunderous round of applause from the enthralled audience.

                                                  The elaborate and colourful exhibition, of different states depicted the cuisines, costumes and artifacts showcasing the eternal heritage of various regions of our country .The ethos and vibrant traditions of our motherland were well imbibed by the students, reinforcing the values of togetherness and respect for different traditions. Through these colourful displays children showcased how diversity binds us together as one nation.

                                                  Tricolour tales was a remarkable celebration of talent and creativity, leaving parents thoroughly impressed and filled with pride! The spectacular event was a great success with the parents appreciating teachers and school for shaping the future of their children.

In today’s increasingly diverse and multicultural society, learning about one’s cultural heritage serves as a bond of unity among its citizens. To imbibe this sense of unity and patriotism, a spectacular week long cultural extravaganza 'Utsav...The Spirit of India, States Parade by Little Brigade’ was presented by the students of class Pre-Primary from 04 - 08 August 2025.

                                                    Students took everyone on a journey through Incredible India, showing glimpses of the distinctive features of different states The celebrations began with the heartfelt poem recitation where the students eloquently described the essence of India's rich and diverse culture. Children brought to life nation's diversity showcasing its food, culture, famous personalities and traditional attire. Children enthralled everyone with the breath taking odyssey traversing through epochal landmarks of our country as they shared unique facts about the 'land of diversity'. The elaborate tableaux of different states depicted the cuisines, costumes and artifacts showcasing the eternal heritage of various regions of our country .The ethos and vibrant traditions of our motherland were well imbibed by the students, reinforcing the values of togetherness and respect for different traditions.

                                                    A soulful dance performance by the students was a befitting closure to the event. Children zealously paid homage to their motherland which is the epitome of Vasudeva Kutumbakam, syncretism, unity in diversity while nurturing successfully, a rich heritage and progressive perspective.

                                                        Rakshabandhan, a festival that celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of classes I & II on Friday, 08 August 2025. The celebrations aimed to instill the values of love, care, mutual respect, and emphasise cultural significance of this traditional festival.

                                                        A informative presentation included the historical background of the festival, its cultural importance and how it is celebrated was shown to the students. Visuals and stories were used to engage the students and help them understand the eternal bond between brothers and sisters. The presentation also highlighted the symbolic meaning of Rakhi, the sacred thread that sisters tie on their brothers' wrists, signifying protection and love.

                                                        • Following the presentation, the students of class I and Primary Stage 1participated in a Rakhi-making activity. They used threads, beads, sequins, and other decorative items and crafted beautiful Rakhis for their siblings. Laughter and chatter filled the room as the children shared ideas and helped each other bring their designs to life.

                                                        • Students creatively decorated a Rakhi plate, embracing the festive spirit and cherishing this special relationship. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity and proudly took the plates back home.

                                                          Delhi Public School, Dwarka organised the Felicitation Ceremony on Friday, 01 August 2025. The Chief Guest gracing the occasion was Mr Kaushik Dutta, Chairman, DPS Dwarka.

                                                          A total of 102 young leaders were formally invested with various duties they will shoulder all through the year. It was also a moment of immense pride as 45 dedicated scholars were awarded gold medals for maintaining outstanding academic performance for seven consecutive years. In addition, around 250 meritorious students were felicitated for their scholastic excellence.

                                                          The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The programme unfolded as a rich cultural potpourri, beginning with a melodic Hans Dhwani presented by the School Band, followed by a soulful rendition of Rabindra Sangeet by the School Choir, accompanied by talented instrumentalists. A thought-provoking talk show on ‘Leadership Redefined: Excellence Meets Well-Being’ left the audience mesmerised.

                                                          The school Principal, Madam Priya Narayanan, welcomed the distinguished Chief Guest and all others present for the occasion . She congratulated the newly inducted leaders and awardees, urging them to uphold the school’s motto - Service Before Self. The Principal emphasised humility in leadership, integrity in action, and empathy in service, reminding students that true success lies not merely in personal achievement but in the ability to uplift others along the way.

                                                          In his address, Mr. Kaushik Dutta emphasised that success is not relative but defined by effort. He urged students to embrace risks, face failures and solve problems with clarity. Addressing parents, he highlighted the role of life experience in guiding children. Applauding the scholars, he praised their dedication, and encouraged student leaders to inspire through action and uphold the core values of DPS.

                                                          The Hon'ble Chairman, bestowed the Badges & Sashes and administered the oath to the newly constituted student cabinet. He also conferred honours upon the Gold Medal awardees and Scholar Badge recipients for their scholastic brilliance.

                                                          The Apex Body solemnly pledged to uphold the school's motto and carry forward its legacy with commitment and dignity.The Head Girls, Jyotsna Arora, Ammie Arora, Aarna Arora and Aadya Arora along with the Head Boys, Shubhan Aggarwal, Anirudh Jha, Priyansh Gehani and Akshat Anand proposed the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the entire student council. They expressed their gratitude to the school and their parents for deeming them worthy of responsibility and encouraging them to believe in themselves.

                                                          The ceremony was witnessed by the proud parents of the young office bearers, Gold Medal recipients and the Scholar Badge holders of Classes XI & XII.
