Delhi Public School, Dwarka celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the ancient practice of yoga.
The celebration began early in the morning with all members of the administrative and support staff, dressed in comfortable yoga attire. School Principal and Vice Principals also graced the occasion. The session commenced with a brief introduction to the importance of Yoga Day and its global relevance. The school Physical Education teacher guided the participants through various asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques. The participants performed a sequence of postures including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana, among others.
The session concluded with the chanting of shlokas and a short talk on how incorporating yoga into daily life can lead to a healthier lifestyle. Ms. Priya Narayanan, Principal, DPS Dwarka in her address, emphasized the importance of maintaining inner peace and balance in today’s fast-paced world and encouraged everyone to make yoga a regular part of their routine.
