The much-anticipated ‘Stellar Trails – The Sports Carnival 2025’ was successfully organized on Tuesday, 21 January 2025. More than 1300 students participated from classes III to VIII. The event was an incredible celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and cultural performances.
It was a privilege to have esteemed guests grace the occasion. The guests included Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma – Former cricketer and Dronacharya Awardee, Mr. Ajay Tomar – Retired Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police and President Medal Awardee, Mr. Joginder Singh Saharan– Basketball player in the Services Team, Mr. Ankit – Captain of Patna Pirates, Pro-Kabaddi League, Army Red Team and Services Player and Mr. Devank Dalal-Raider in the Pro-Kabaddi League. Their presence was an inspiration to the students, emphasizing the value of sportsmanship and discipline.
The programme commenced with the Welcome Choir and the Flag Hoisting ceremony, followed by the March Past by Class VIII students. The March Past was indeed a memorable showcase of precision, coordination and community pride. A stirring welcome address was delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Priya Narayanan, setting an inspiring tone for the event. She emphasised the fact that in sports, true victory is found in participating and embracing the valuable lessons learnt along the way. Followed by this, Mr. Sharma showered his blessings and encouraged children to participate in sports activities, emphasising their role in improving health, shaping personality and fostering growth.
One of the highlights of the event was the Torch Run - symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship and unity, with the Girls and Boys Sports Captains from the Primary and Senior Wing, proudly carrying the torch across the ground. Moreover, the Rajputana Army Band displayed spectacular grandeur and truly captivated the audience. Their precision and discipline left everyone spellbound.
A variety of track events were organised which included Inter-House Races across various distances (100 m, 200 m), an entertaining Colour Burst Race (Class III) and Relay Races for both boys and girls in all the classes. Students participated with great zest and zeal. A total of five prize distribution ceremonies were held to recognize the outstanding achievements of students.
Special events such as Hand-in-Hand Baker’s Delight Race (Classes III – V) and Fun Target Race (Classes VI-VIII) focused upon inclusivity, wherein special learners found joy in contributing and learning together, embracing their differences positively.
A variety of Cultural Performances were also a part of this mega event. Vibrant displays such as the Fitness Dance, Yoga, Rhythmic Dance, Synergy Dance and Taekwondo Demonstration showcased the students' artistic talents, discipline and team spirit which left everyone enthralled.
The carnival culminated with a vibrant and electrifying Grand Finale, featuring the Celebration Dance by Class VII. The performance was a tribute to the spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and cultural diversity. It mesmerised the audience and provided the perfect conclusion to a day filled with energy and inspiration. The Vote of Thanks was proposed, followed by the National Anthem. The event not only encouraged active participation but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie amongst students.
