ASSESSMENT SCHEME FOR CBSE CURRICULUM
ACADEMIC SESSION
CLASSES PRE-SCHOOL TO V
There will be two terms in the Academic Session for classes Pre-School - V.
-
- Term I : April-September
- Term II: October-March
- CLASSES PRE-SCHOOL AND PRE-PRIMARY
a) Learning as an ongoing, wholesome process will be evaluated in a continuous comprehensive manner. The Comprehensive Assessment Process, will focus on the daily, consistent progress made by the child in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
b) The assessment procedure will be based on the child's daily interaction in the class, his/her level of general awareness, the quality of work produced by him/her, internalization of the concepts taught during the course of classroom interaction and the consequent learning outcomes throughout the year
CLASSES I AND II
a) Continuous Assessment of the child will be done by means of Revision Assignments and Subject Specific Tasks along with General Observation in class in each core subject English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS.
b) Each term will comprise Two Revision Assignments per subject for Classes I & II.
c) One round of Internal Assessment per term in each subject .
d) Letter grades based on a 7 point scale will be awarded in each subject.
e) Criteria based Scholastic Skills in each subject (English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS) will be assessed on a 7 point letter grade scale.
f) Co- Scholastic Skills in areas of Social & Emotional Development, Cleanliness and discipline, Work Habits, Physical Education/ Sports, Dance, Music and Art will also be assessed .
CLASSES III – V
a) Assessments in all core subjects i.e. English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS will be in the form of:
1) Internal Assessments as Student’s Attendance , Subject Enrichment Activities , Project Based Activities , Portfolio , Multiple Assessments and Periodic Tests .
2) External Assessments as Mid Term Examination and Annual Examination.

- There will be one Periodic Test per term for each of the 4 core subjects - English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS in each term. The details for each class are as follows:
- Classes III and IV– One Periodic Test will be of 25 marks in each term
- Class V – One Periodic Test will be of 40 marks in each term
- d) EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT IN CLASSES III , IV AND V
There will be one Term Exam of 50 marks per term for each of the 4 core subjects - English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS as Mid Term Examination in Term I and Annual Examination in Term II .
e) Each Term will have one assessment each of 25 marks in subjects:
- Computer Science (for classes III - V)
- General Awareness (for classes III - V)
- Third Language (for classes IV & V )
- f) Co- Scholastic Skills in areas of Social & Emotional Development, Cleanliness and discipline, Work Habits, Physical Education/ Sports, Dance, Music and Art will also be assessed .
g) In Class V, students securing less than 33% marks in any of the core subjects (English , Hindi , Mathematics & EVS ) will not be promoted to class VI and will repeat class V as per the DOE policy of ‘Essential Repeat’

ASSESSMENT SCHEME FOR CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM
ACADEMIC SESSION
EARLY YEARS I to PRIMARY STAGE II (Classes: Pre -School –II )
The academic session is divided into two terms:

EARLY YEARS I (Class Pre-School) & EARLY YEARS II (Class Pre -Primary)

c) Cambridge Early Years- Check Together (For Early Years II)
Check Together is an engaging story based digital assessment which gives an objective measure of each child’s individual starting point of ability.
A teacher assisted Check Together will be conducted in Class Pre- Primary in each term.
- First Term : July
- Second Term : January
Each child will take Check Together on a digital platform wherein they will be assisted by the class teacher at every step. This will aid in assessing the abilities of each child at the start of the year and towards the end to gauge the progress made by each child.
PRIMARY STAGE I (Class I ) & PRIMARY STAGE II (Class II )
Each term will comprise Two Revision Assignments per subject.
Continuous assessment of child will be done by the means of Revision Assignments , Subject Specific Tasks and General Observation in class in each subject : Global English, Hindi, Primary Mathematics and Primary Science .

- b) CO-SCHOLASTIC SKILLS FOR PRIMARY STAGE I & PRIMARY STAGE II
Co-Scholastic skills in areas of Social and Emotional Development Cleanliness and Discipline, Work Habits, Primary Physical Education, Global Perspectives, Primary Music and Primary Art and Design will also be assessed.
Senior Wing
SCHEME OF ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION NORMS

Pattern, Weightage & Duration of the above exams will be as per the latest guidelines issued by CBSE
- Minimum 33% in each subject must be secured in each Term and in the final assessment for promotion to the next higher class.
- All students are required to complete 75% of attendance to make him/her eligible to take the examination.
- If any student is found using unfair means during any school examination, he/she will be marked ‘zero’ in that particular exam. He/she will not be eligible for any post of responsibility in the Student Council during that academic session.
FOR CLASSES VI – VIII
- Two Cycles of Monday Test will be conducted in each term i.e. a total of Four Monday Tests in the academic year. However, there will be one cycle of Computer Monday Test in each Term.
- Yearly syllabus is divided into two terms for Classes VI – VIII. The syllabus covered in Term I will also be tested in the Final exam.

Yoga, Library and Information Science Physical Activity Trainer (Only for Class XI)

SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS AND PASS CRITERIA
All India Senior School Certificate Examination : XII
ENCOURAGING EXCELLENCE THROUGH AWARDS
For classes VI -VIII : English, Hindi, III Language, Maths, Science, Social Science & Computer Science.
For classes IX & X : English, II Language, Maths, Science & Social Science
For class XI : All five subjects opted for, with minimum 50% in each subject.

- Term I : MT1, Pre-Mid Term, Pre-Board Term I
- Term II : MT2, Pre-Board Term II
- Change of subject (s) in class XI may be allowed by the Head of the School but not later than 15 July of that academic session.
- No candidate shall be permitted to change his subject of study after passing Class XI.
- The candidate shall not be offered that subject in Class XII which he has not studied and passed in Class XI.
- The Board conducts examination in all subjects except General Studies, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education, which will be assessed internally by the school.
- Pattern, weightage and duration of the Board exams will be as per the latest guidelines issued by CBSE. In subjects requiring practical examination, there will be a theory paper and practical examinations as required in the syllabi.
- In Work experience, General Studies and Physical and Health Education, the School will maintain cumulative records of student’s periodical achievements and progress during the year.
- In order to be declared as having passed the examination, a candidate shall obtain a grade higher than E (i.e. at least 33% marks) in all the five subjects of external examination in the main or at the end of the compartmental examination. The pass marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33%. In case of a subject involving practical work a candidate must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject.
- Scholar Badge : Scholar Badge is awarded to a student securing overall 80% and above. Subjects to be considered for the award of a Scholar Badge will include:
- Scholar Blazer: A Scholar Blazer is awarded to a student who earns a Scholar Badge for three consecutive years. (Class V onwards)
- Scholar Blazer & Tie: A Scholar Blazer and Tie is awarded to a student who earns a Scholar Badge for six consecutive years. (Class V onwards)
- 3. Gold Medal: A Gold Medal is awarded to a student who earns a Scholar Badge for seven consecutive years (Class V onwards)

- Perfect Attendance Certificate: It is awarded to students for maintaining 100% attendance throughout the academic year.
- Certificate of Excellence: It is awarded to students of class XII for excellence in Research / Innovation/ Sports / Cultural activities..
