SCHOOL HOUSE APPOINTMENTS (2026-2027)

A series of Inter-House competitions were organised during July 2026 to promote logical thinking, creativity, and social awareness among students.

On 08 July 2026, Chenab House conducted the Number and Pattern Puzzles Competition for Classes VIII and IX, enhancing students' analytical and problem-solving skills.

On 15 July 2026, an Inter-House Slogan Writing Competition (Class VII) and Poster Making Competition (Class VIII) were organised on vector-borne diseases. Students created impactful slogans and informative posters to spread awareness about Dengue, Malaria, Chikungunya, and their prevention.

On 22 July 2026, Ganges House organised the Story Writing Competition for Classes VI–VIII, encouraging creativity and moral values through self-composed stories.

Inter-House Soft Board Making Competition on the theme "Dengue – A Havoc" showcased attractive and informative displays, sensitising students about dengue and its prevention.

Points obtained by houses in the above competitions are as follows.

(4 points are awarded to 1st position, 3 points to 2nd position, 2 points to 3rd +position, 1 or none to last position depending upon the format of competition)

ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

An Inter-House Essay Writing Competition was organised for the students of Class VIII on 14 August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The theme, “India’s Independence: A Legacy of Sacrifice by Our Revolutionaries,” provided students with an opportunity to reflect upon the nation’s freedom struggle and the immense sacrifices made by the revolutionaries who fought for India’s independence. The participants expressed their thoughts through well-structured and thoughtful essays, demonstrating their understanding of the courage, patriotism and determination of our freedom fighters. The activity also encouraged students to appreciate the value of freedom and develop a deeper sense of respect and pride for the nation. Overall, it was an enriching and meaningful experience that fostered historical awareness and patriotic values among the students.

The event served as an effective platform for students to demonstrate technical skills, collaborate under time constraints, and apply computer science concepts practically. The competition was completed successfully with enthusiastic participation from all houses.

REPORT ON INTER-HOUSE SOLO SINGING COMPETITIONS ON SWACHH BHARAT THEME

An Inter-House Solo Singing Competition based on the theme “Swachh Bharat” was organized on Thursday, 13 August 2026 with the objective of spreading awareness about cleanliness and encouraging students to contribute towards a clean and healthy environment.

Students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and zeal. They presented melodious songs related to cleanliness and hygiene, singing beautifully and maintaining rhythm and expression. The participants performed both self-composed songs and existing compositions, showcasing their creativity and musical talent.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and successfully inculcated awareness among the students about the importance of cleanliness and responsible civic behaviour. Vice Principal Ms. Sushma Anthwal also shared her valuable thoughts on the importance of cleanliness and sensitized the students towards keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic.

Overall, the competition was a wonderful and enriching experience. It provided students with an opportunity to showcase their singing talent while simultaneously promoting the message of Swachh Bharat.

STORY WRITING COMPETITION
Day/Date: Monday, 27 July 2026

The Inter-House – Story Writing Competition (Moral Based Self composed story) for the students of Classes VI-VIII was successfully organised by Ganges House on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 at Delhi Public School, Dwarka. The competition aimed to encourage creativity, imagination, and moral values through story writing.

Students submitted their written stories to their respective House Wardens. The selected stories were adjudged by Ms. Pooja Rai (PRT English).

HOUSE MEETINGS

Day/Date: Tuesday, 07 July 2026

The monthly House Meetings of Chenab, Ganges, Jhelum, and Ravi Houses were conducted at their respective venues, On 7 July 2026. The meetings aimed to foster house spirit and encourage active student participation.

Students were briefed about the importance of their House and motivated to participate enthusiastically in various inter-house competitions. The current House standings were shared, and students were encouraged to work collectively to take their House to the top. A review of the activities conducted during April and May was presented, highlighting each House's performance and achievements. Details of the upcoming activities were also discussed.

Students were reminded about the importance of maintaining discipline, punctuality, and proper school uniform. They were also sensitized about dengue prevention and advised to keep their surroundings clean, eliminate stagnant water, and adopt necessary preventive measures against mosquito breeding.

























INTER-HOUSE COMPETITIONS ON VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES

Day/Date: Wednesday,15 July 2026

To spread awareness and sensitize students about vector-borne diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya, an Inter-House Slogan Writing Competition (Class VII) and an Inter-House Poster Making Competition (Class VIII) were conducted on Wednesday,15 July 2026.

Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and creativity. Through impactful slogans and informative posters, they highlighted the causes, symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining cleanliness to control the spread of vector-borne diseases.

The activity proved to be an effective awareness initiative, helping students develop a better understanding of these diseases and encouraging them to adopt preventive measures and spread awareness in the community.

NUMBER & PATTERN PUZZLES
Day/Date: Friday, 10 July 2026

The Inter-House Competition – Number and Pattern Puzzles for the students of Classes VIII and IX was successfully organised by Chenab House on Wednesday, 08 July 2026 at Delhi Public School, Dwarka. The competition aimed to enhance students' logical thinking, analytical skills, and mathematical reasoning through engaging number- and pattern-based puzzles. The competition was conducted in the form of a 30-minute written MCQ test. Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen understanding of mathematical concepts. The questions challenged participants to identify patterns, apply logical reasoning, and solve mathematical puzzles within the stipulated time.

The competition proved to be an enriching learning experience, fostering curiosity, logical reasoning, and a love for mathematics while encouraging a spirit of healthy competition among the students.








CLASS : V CRICKET TOURNAMENT

An Inter-House Cricket Tournament for class V has been conducted successfully in the school. All four Houses participated enthusiastically.

The matches were played in a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship. In one of the semi final match, Chenab House competed against Ganges House. Chenab House won the toss and elected to field first.Ganges House scored 104 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 7 overs.In response, Chenab House managed to score 76 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted overs.Consequently, Ganges House won the match by 28 runs and secured place in the finals.

In the second semi final match, Ravi House competed against Jhelum House. Jhelum House won the toss and chose to field first. Ravi House scored 55 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 7 overs. In response Jhelum House managed to score 52 runs for 2 wickets in the allotted overs. Consequently, Ravi House won the match by 3 runs and secured a place in the finals.

The final match was played on 28 April 2026 between Ravi and Ganges House. Ravi House won the toss and chose to bat first. Ravi House scored 93 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 10 overs. In response, Ganges House managed to score 82 runs for 1 wicket in the allotted overs and finally, Ravi House won the match by 11 runs and secured first place in this tournament.

All house teams displayed outstanding performance, determination, teamwork, leadership quality and skill throughout the match. It was a thrilling contest and all participants showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The tournament was conducted smoothly.
