WORKSHOP ON SAT AND INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS

About the Workshop

A workshop was organised on Monday, 11 May 2026 for all Class XII students focused on SAT and international university admissions.

Facilitated by experts from Jamboree Education, the session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and global competitive standards.

Core Objectives & Highlights

• Strategic Test Prep: Students received high-level insights into the Digital SAT framework, focusing on critical reasoning and evidence-based problem-solving.
• Performance Techniques: The facilitators shared proprietary practice techniques designed to improve speed and accuracy across the Reading, Writing, and Math modules.

The workshop addressed the relevance of standardized testing for all academic backgrounds-Science, Commerce, and Humanities-highlighting diverse pathways to global higher education.

Students were guided on essential resources and timelines to align their SAT preparation with school internal assessments.

Conclusion

The workshop was highly effective in empowering students with the tools necessary for international college entrance exams. The interaction with Jamboree experts provided a professional perspective on the evolving landscape of global admissions, ensuring our students remain competitive and well-informed.

CLASS: V SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY (2025-2026)

Delhi Public School, Dwarka organized the Scholar Badge Ceremony on Friday, 08 May 2026 to felicitate the young scholars of class V for their exemplary academic performance during the session 2025-26 in Class IV. Dr. Nandini Chaudhuri Sen, Member, Managing Committee, DPS Dwarka, was the esteemed Chief Guest.

The event began with a melodious performance, by the school choir, creating an ambience of joy and celebration. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to mark the auspicious beginning of the event.

Ms. Priya Narayanan, Principal, DPS Dwarka, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. In her address, she commended the students for their hard work and emphasised the vital role parents play in their holistic development.

The Chief Guest congratulated the Scholar Badge awardees and appreciated their sincere efforts. She also highlighted how this institution nurtures and shapes children into confident individuals, who stand out and are well-prepared for the future. Dr. Nandini Chaudhuri Sen encouraged parents to work in close collaboration with teachers and emphasised the importance of being present for them, serving as positive role models.

The main attraction of the cultural programme was an inspiring talk show presented by the students of class V on the topic 'Ikigai – Raison d’être!' emphasising the importance of discovering one’s purpose in life and striving for a meaningful and balanced existence. This was complemented by a brief choral recitation on the theme, ‘Learn with Purpose and Grow with Passion’, which highlighted the value of setting meaningful goals and nurturing one’s interests with dedication. The recitation beautifully conveyed how purposeful learning and passionate effort lead to personal growth and lifelong success. This was followed by the Scholar Badge Ceremony, wherein the students were felicitated for their praiseworthy performance in the previous academic session. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Anubha Malhotra, Vice Principal, DPS Dwarka. The event proved to be a grand success and was appreciated by all present.

CLASSES : PRE-SCHOOL1  AND PRE-PRIMARY MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 

Classes Pre-School1 and Pre-Primary celebrated ‘Mother’s Day’ on Friday, 08 May 2026 with great joy, love and enthusiasm. The celebration aimed to help children express their love and gratitude towards their mothers through meaningful and creative activities.

The Pre-School1 children participated in a creative bouquet-making activity where they designed colourful paper bouquets for their mothers using cut-outs and decorative materials. They also prepared special coupon books carrying sweet promises such as “A Hug for You” and “Help with Cleaning,” with guidance from their teachers. The children happily presented these handmade gifts as tokens of love and appreciation. Classrooms were beautifully decorated with hearts and flowers, creating a cheerful and festive atmosphere.

The Pre-Primary children enthusiastically sang Mother’s Day songs and shared a few loving words about their mothers. Teachers explained the importance of a mother’s love and care through a thoughtful activity using a pot as a symbol of nurturing and growth. The children also completed an EVS booklet activity by pasting a tulip flower on a pot worksheet and joyfully sang the poem written on it. To make the celebration special, they created beautiful Mother’s Day wall hangings using hand printing, colourful straws, and sweet messages dedicated to their mothers.

The celebration concluded on a happy and heart-warming note with the children excited to present their handmade crafts and gifts to their mothers.

CLASS : I HEALTHY LIVING WEEK 

To foster nutritious eating habits, encouraging physical wellness and educating students on the importance of a balanced lifestyle class I observed Healthy Living Week from Monday, 04 May to Friday, 08 May 2026.

Mini Master Chef : Wednesday, 06 May 2026

• Students brought boiled chickpeas with fresh, chopped vegetables like onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots seasoned with lemon juice and chaat masala.This high-protein, fiber-rich recipe taught students to appreciate nutritious food that is easy to prepare.

Junior Chef Activity : Thursday, 07 May 2026

• Students unleashed their creativity by placing pictures of nutritious items like fruits, vegetables, pulses, cereals etc. .Students identified essential food groups and nutritious options.

Eating Healthy Is Fun: Friday, 08 May 2026 

• Students got tiffins filled with homemade, nutrient-dense foods featuring items like vegetable pulav, sprouts, roti-dal and seasonal fruits.

The learning outcome of the week promoted parental involvement. The hands-on creative nature of the activities made learning enjoyable, encouraging students to make better food choices in their lives.

CLASS : PRE-SCHOOL1 YELLOW COLOUR DAY

The Pre-School celebrated Yellow Colour Day with great enthusiasm and cheer on Thursday, 07 May 2026. The aim of the activity was to introduce children to the colour yellow through fun, hands-on experiences and to strengthen colour recognition in a playful environment.

The day began with children arriving in bright yellow attire, creating a sunny and joyful atmosphere across the classroom. Many children also brought yellow food items in their tiffins such as yellow fruit, yellow rice, and other yellow snacks, adding to the theme and encouraging healthy eating.

The main activities included a Yellow Treasure Hunt where children explored the activity room to find and collect various yellow-coloured objects. This activity helped develop their observation and motor skills while making learning interactive and engaging. Following this, the children participated in Colouring Fun, where they coloured a picture of a chick yellow using crayons and colours. The little ones also enjoyed making yellow buses with tearing and pasting activity and happily took them home.

Overall, Yellow Colour Day was a lively and enriching experience. The children enjoyed learning about the colour yellow while building confidence, social interaction, and a sense of participation.

CLASS : VI SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY

Delhi Public School, Dwarka organised the Scholar Badge Ceremony for Class VI on Tuesday, 05 May 2026, to felicitate the outstanding academic achievements of students for the session 2025-26. The event was graced by Dr Ishank Jain, Attending Consultant, Radiology, Saral Diagnostics and Dr Anant Vijay Maria, Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India, as Chief Guests, along with proud parents, making it a memorable celebration of dedication and excellence.

The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a captivating orchestra performance and a soulful choir presentation, which set a vibrant and inspiring tone. The highlight of the cultural programme was a motivating talk show presented by the students of Class VI on the topic, ‘Be Responsible at a Young Age’, emphasising the notion that small acts of reliability today build the foundation for leadership tomorrow.

Ms Priya Narayanan, Principal, DPS Dwarka, applauded the diligent efforts of the students. In her inspiring address, she reminded the recipients that while the badge is a mark of achievement, it also carries the responsibility of becoming kind and thoughtful individuals. Emphasising the school's philosophy, she concluded by encouraging students to dream bigger and reminded them that true excellence lies not just in being the best, but in always doing one’s best.

The Chief Guests, Dr Ishank Jain and Dr Anant Vijay Maria, distinguished alumni, emphasised the importance of maintaining a lifelong connection with the school community, urging students to build lasting friendships, remain perpetually curious, and practice kindness alongside hard work. They further highlighted that the current achievements of the school are a testament to the collective efforts of the faculty and students, encouraging everyone to trust the process of growth and continue to push themselves beyond perceived limits.

The event culminated with the felicitation of the scholars for their outstanding academic performance. They were awarded Green Badges and certificates as a mark of appreciation and encouragement. Parents expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the school’s continued commitment to recognising merit and promoting excellence.
