HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN 2025
CLASSES : Pre School - XII

In alignment with the directives from the government, Delhi Public School, Dwarka, enthusiastically took part in the fourth edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. This initiative, a key part of the Independence Day festivities, week long activities were conducted from 04 - 14 August 2025, with the aim of fostering a strong sense of national pride and unity. By encouraging every citizen to hoist the national flag at their homes, the campaign sought to transform the Tiranga from a national symbol into a personal expression of patriotism.

The histrionic skills of the young patriots and the spirit of patriotism amongst our students was the reflection of the gaiety of the whole nation. A special tribute to ‘Incredible India’ was paid through a quiz - Symbols of Glory. Students of Pre School actively participated in the quiz. Pre-schoolers wore tricolours themed attire, attended a skit by teachers on India’s freedom struggle, brought tri-coloured food items, sang the National Anthem during the week long celebration.

To imbibe the sense of unity and patriotism, a spectacular week long cultural extravaganza 'Utsav...The Spirit of India, States Parade by Little Brigade’ was presented by the students of class Pre Primary.

To honour the sacrifices made by the brave freedom fighters of our country the school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Special Assemblies was put up by the students of Classes II and those of Classes III to V.

On 8 August 2025 with Badge Making for Class VI, where students designed colourful badges inspired by the spirit of freedom. The event saw enthusiastic participation, and the best creations were displayed for all to admire.

Slogan Writing was held for Classes VI–VIII on the theme “India – My Pride”. Using vibrant colours and thoughtful expressions, students penned inspiring messages, which were showcased on the school bulletin board.

On 12 August 2025, the Character Parade for Classes VI and VII brought history to life as students dressed as renowned Indian freedom fighters and national leaders. Each participant delivered a short dialogue or slogan, capturing the essence of their chosen personality. Class VIII students took part in Patriotic Poem Recitation in Hindi and English Language, stirring emotions with verses that celebrated the nation’s heritage and sacrifices.

Classes IX - XII celebrated Independence Day with activities promoting patriotism and respect for India’s heritage. Students chose from four options. In Patriotic Poster Making, they depicted national symbols, freedom fighters, and India’s journey to independence with striking visuals. Slogan Writing showcased crisp, impactful phrases on freedom and pride. The Independence-Themed Tabloid highlighted key events, struggles, and contributions of freedom fighters. In Patriotic Poem Recitation, participants presented self-composed poems with emotion and clarity.

A Documentary on Freedom Fighters was also showcased, portraying their courage and sacrifices.

The celebrations not only honoured the nation’s history but also inspired creativity, unity, and deeper appreciation for the sacrifices that secured India’s freedom.

The school's celebration commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony where the entire student body and faculty gathered to honor the Tricolour. Students were then motivated to become Har Ghar Tiranga Ambassadors by taking the flag home, displaying it with their families, and uploading a 'Tiranga selfie' to the official campaign website. Throughout the activities, students were educated on the Flag Code of India 2002 to ensure the flag was treated with the proper respect and protocol.

The school also organized a variety of engaging events, including a poster-making competition, an independence-themed quiz, and several cultural performances that highlighted the rich heritage and values of our nation. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at Delhi Public School, Dwarka, was an undeniable success. These activities not only provided a deep-seated understanding of the flag’s significance but also inspired students to become active participants in the nation's journey towards a brighter future. The campaign succeeded in instilling a vibrant sense of patriotism and left a memorable mark on the young minds of our students, reinforcing their connection to the country.

INDEPENDENCE DAY
CLASSES VI - XII

PATRIOTIC PALETTE WEEK
CLASS : PRE-SCHOOL
Dates: 04 - 08 August 2025

Pre-School celebrated ‘Patriotic Palette’ week with great enthusiasm from Monday, 04 August to Friday, 08 August 2025. The week was filled with vibrant activities aimed at instilling love and pride for the nation among our young learners.

Monday, 04 August – ‘MY COUNTRY

• Children came dressed in tricolour-themed attire and took part in the Tricolour Warrior craft activity which they made with full enthusiasm as a take away. The day concluded with the heartfelt recital of the National Anthem.

Tuesday, 05 August – ‘SALUTE TO SHINING INDIA’

• Teachers presented a skit on India’s freedom struggle, introducing children to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters in a simple and engaging manner.

Wednesday, 06 August – ‘LET’S SOAR HIGH’

• A fun Kite Crafting Extravaganza using tearing and pasting techniques was conducted, allowing children to express their creativity.

Thursday, 07 August – ‘INDIA – MY PRIDE’

• Children learned about national symbols through interactive discussions and brought tri-coloured food items in their lunch, adding flavour to the patriotic theme.

The celebrations were both meaningful and joyful, successfully nurturing patriotism in our hearts.

JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS
CLASSES : I & II
Dates: 13 & 14 August 2025

To introduce the young children to the cultural significance of Janamashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, classes I & II celebrated the event with great enthusiasm.

Class I

• A special storytelling session was conducted for our young learners, where teachers narrated the story of Lord Krishna’s birth and his childhood adventures. Bhajans like chhoti chhoti gaiya…, mai kyon kaala…were recited in the class. Students participated in crafting activities where they made mukuts using sequins, mirrors, ribbons and other decorative materials. These crafts were designed to enhance their fine motor skills and foster creativity while connecting them to the theme of the celebration. The students were encouraged to come dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Class II

• Folk tales narrating stories of Krishna’s birth and victory of good over evil were shown with vibrant visuals and interactive elements to keep them engaged. Students were engaged in beautiful matki decoration while learning about the significance of this festive occasion honouring Lord Krishna’s birth and teachings.

The Janamashtami celebration was a delightful and educational experience for the students. Through storytelling, crafts, songs, dances, and games, the event successfully introduced the children to the cultural and spiritual significance of Janamashtami.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS
CLASSES : PRE-SCHOOL & PRE-PRIMARY

A tiny Krishna, with flute in hand,
Played melodies across the land.
In Gokul's fields, so green and bright,
He brought in pure joy and pure delight. "

The auspicious occasion of Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion by the students of Pre School and Pre Primary.

The highlight of the celebration was ‘Krishna Leela’ a spectacular presentation by the Pre-schoolers. They came dressed in beautiful traditional attire. Principal, Madam Priya Narayanan, ushered in the spirit of Janamashtami by lighting the auspicious lamp. The celebrations began with the choir that invoked spiritual positivity and fidelity; signifying unity and faith. Little ones came forward with full confidence and spoke on the values we learn from Lord Krishna. They enacted some significant moments from Krishna's life too. This was followed by mesmerising dance performances by the little gopis and gwalas. Popular ritual of "Dahi Handi" was organized as an mark of remembrance of Lord Krishna’s love for milk and butter. Our respected Principal ma’am addressed the gathering and praised and appreciated the students for their enrapturing performances.

Children were given butter and toffees as Prasad, adding charm to the occasion. Children made beautiful take aways like flutes, Krishna posters and matkis to commemorate the occasion. They also painted earthen matkis and decorated them.

The festive fervour of Janmashtami also came alive when students of Pre-Primary dressed up in bright hues, presented the special assembly. The students portrayed the key episodes from Lord Krishna’s life and how we can embody his teachings in our lives. The melodious song and an elegant dance performance by the children captivated one and all.

The celebrations were filled with joy, devotion, and excitement, making it a memorable experience for all.

STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH A 75% ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS AS PER CBSE FOR STUDENT OF CLASSES X AND XII

PLEDGE AGAINST DRUG ABUSE
Day/date: Wednesday, 13 August 2025

On 13 August 2025, Delhi Public School, Dwarka organized mass pledge against drug abuse. The programme began with the morning prayer, followed by an informative Session highlighting the physical, mental, and social dangers of drug addiction.

After the session, all students, teachers, and staff members took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and to encourage others to lead a healthy, drug-free life. The pledge emphasized the importance of self-discipline, awareness, and collective responsibility in eradicating drug abuse from society.

The event concluded with motivational slogans and a reminder to remain vigilant and support anyone in need of help against addiction. The active participation of the students made the programme successful and impactful.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN SCIENCE
CLASS-VII

An Inter-Section PowerPoint Presentation Competition on the topic “Chemistry in Everyday Life” was organised for the students of Class VII, in alignment with the objectives of the Experiential Learning in Science programme in the month of July.

Students were divided into groups comprising 4–6 members each. They prepared impressive and well-structured slides showcasing the utility and importance of chemistry in daily life. The activity not only enhanced their understanding of the subject but also encouraged them to explore in depth and unravel the fascinating role of chemistry in our everyday experiences.

This group learning experience further equipped them with essential teamwork skills, fostering coordination, cooperation, and effective communication.

The PowerPoint presentations were duly evaluated by the judges, and the following were the results of the activity:

CLASS-VI INTER-SECTION BOOK-MAKING COMPETITION
CLASS : VI

An Inter-Section Book-Making Competition on the topic ‘Inventions and Discoveries in Science’ was organised for the students of Class VI in alignment with the objectives of the Experiential Learning in Science programme in the month of July. Students took part with great enthusiasm, producing imaginative and well-crafted entries. The activity not only showcased their creativity and writing skills but also fostered teamwork, instilling a sense of belongingness towards their class.

The books were duly evaluated by the judges. Class VI C and Class VI D emerged as Winners, while Class VI A secured the Runners-up position.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
CLASSES: III TO V

To honour the sacrifices made by the brave freedom fighters of our country the school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. A Special Assembly was put up by the students of Ganges House on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 in school auditorium.

The vibrant cultural programme began with the rendition of a patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ by the school choir. This was followed by a talk show which presented a poem echoing the strong ties with nation and highlighted the contributions and sacrifices of legendary freedom fighters such as Rani Lakshmibai, who fought valiantly in the First War of Independence, Mangal Pandey, whose courage sparked the uprising of 1857, Tatya Tope, a master strategist in the freedom struggle, and Nana Sahib, who inspired resistance against British rule. A special tribute was given to Shaheed Udham Singh, whose sacrifice avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who ignited the spirit of “Swaraj is my birth right and I shall have it” among Indians.

The captivating dance performance evoked a feeling of patriotism and captured the essence of the day with vibrant display of colours, festivity and nationalism.

The students also highlighted that while we celebrate our hard-earned freedom, it is equally important to perform our duties towards the nation - to be responsible citizens, uphold unity, respect our heritage, and work hard to take our country forward in the future.

The celebration culminated with the resolve that the nation will have a unique identity and will become world leader in future.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
CLASS : II
Day/Date: Tuesday, 12 August 2025

A special assembly was conducted by the students of class II to mark the 79^th Independence day celebrations on Tuesday, 12 August 2025. The assembly began with the choir enthralling the audience with rendition of a Patriotic song highlighting the immense significance of the day.

The students explained the significance of Independence Day and the importance of preserving the values and ideals that our freedom fighters fought for. They encouraged everyone to contribute to the progress and development of our country. Speakers dressed up as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Tantia Tope, Gandhiji also accentuated the role of youth as the wealth of the country and brought to the fore the duties of Indian citizens. The significance to uphold unity and work towards the progress of the nation was highlighted.

The event inspired everyone to uphold the ideals of democracy, unity, and integrity and left everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride. The assembly culminated with the singing of the National Anthem with pride and reverence.

The High Octane Club of DPS Dwarka successfully conducted an engaging and innovative design event titled “Build a Beast” for students of Classes IX to XI. Held on 6 August 2025, the event aimed to spark creativity, automotive knowledge, and teamwork among participants as they constructed their dream machines.

The event included:

           Virtual Car Configuration, where teams selected from a wide array of engines, suspensions, transmissions, body shells, and performance upgrades to design the ultimate vehicle.

• Budget Management, challenging teams to balance performance with cost efficiency within a limited virtual budget.

• Investor Pitching, where teams presented and pitched their custom-built vehicles to a panel of judges. Teams had to justify their design decisions, highlight unique features, and convincingly argue why their car was best suited for the given scenario—adding an exciting real-world dimension to the competition.

After intense rounds of strategic planning and design presentation, the team of Gurveer Singh of X-F, Dikshant Jain of X-A and Aarav Mendiratta of X-F emerged victorious. All winners received certificates in recognition of their achievement.

The event received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback, with students praising the unique blend of engineering concepts and creativity. “Build a Beast” successfully fostered interest in automotive design and highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of modern engineering challenges. Many students look forward to more such technical and hands-on events.

PSYCHOLOGY QUIZ PSYCH-ED 2025

Students of Classes XI and XII from our school enthusiastically participated in the national-level psychology quiz Psych-ED 2025, organised by Fortis Healthcare on 7 August 2025. Now in its 8th year, this prestigious quiz has been held annually since 2016 and continues to draw wide participation from across the country. The first round was conducted online in the school computer lab, with seven teams, each comprising three students, representing our school. This year’s quiz saw participation from over 900 schools across more than 195 cities in India, with over 12,000 students competing in the preliminary round. Our top-scoring team, consisting of Bhumika (XI A), Vaanya Varun (XI B) and Nishka Dash (XI C), delivered an outstanding performance by securing 495 out of 500 marks. Their exceptional score has earned them a place in the zonal round, where only 12 teams from the Delhi-NCR region qualify from among six zones. The zonal round will be held offline on 25 August 2025, with exciting prizes awaiting the winning teams at various stages of the competition.

CLASS - CAMBRIDGE EY1

Incredible India is a testament to the country's rich diversity, vibrant culture, and historical significance. It encapsulates India's unique ability to blend ancient traditions with modern progress, offering a captivating experience for all.The students of Cambridge EY1 explored the rich heritage and varied cultures of India as they presented a cultural extravaganza - Tricolour Tales on Friday, 08 August 2025.

The programme commenced with mellifluous rendition of the patriotic song - My Flag, My Pride’. The saga encompassed beautifully choreographed dance that mesmerized everyone. . The amalgamated talent of all the students enthralled the audience with a breathtaking odyssey traversing through various regions of our country.

The mesmerising narrative received a thunderous round of applause from the enthralled audience.

The elaborate and colourful exhibition, of different states depicted the cuisines, costumes and artifacts showcasing the eternal heritage of various regions of our country .The ethos and vibrant traditions of our motherland were well imbibed by the students, reinforcing the values of togetherness and respect for different traditions. Through these colourful displays children showcased how diversity binds us together as one nation.

Tricolour tales was a remarkable celebration of talent and creativity, leaving parents thoroughly impressed and filled with pride! The spectacular event was a great success with the parents appreciating teachers and school for shaping the future of their children.

THE SPIRIT OF INDIA, STATES PARADE BY LITTLE BRIGADE
CLASS : PRE-PRIMARY

‘The strength of our nation lies in the diversity of our rich cultural Heritage.'

The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people. In today’s increasingly diverse and multicultural society, learning about one’s cultural heritage serves as a bond of unity among its citizens. To imbibe this sense of unity and patriotism, a spectacular week long cultural extravaganza 'Utsav...The Spirit of India, States Parade by Little Brigade’ was presented by the students of class Pre-Primary from 04 - 08 August 2025.

Students took everyone on a journey through Incredible India, showing glimpses of the distinctive features of different states The celebrations began with the heartfelt poem recitation where the students eloquently described the essence of India's rich and diverse culture. Children brought to life nation's diversity showcasing its food, culture, famous personalities and traditional attire. Children enthralled everyone with the breath taking odyssey traversing through epochal landmarks of our country as they shared unique facts about the 'land of diversity'. The elaborate tableaux of different states depicted the cuisines, costumes and artifacts showcasing the eternal heritage of various regions of our country .The ethos and vibrant traditions of our motherland were well imbibed by the students, reinforcing the values of togetherness and respect for different traditions.

A soulful dance performance by the students was a befitting closure to the event. Children zealously paid homage to their motherland which is the epitome of Vasudeva Kutumbakam, syncretism, unity in diversity while nurturing successfully, a rich heritage and progressive perspective.

The momentous week’s proceedings concluded with the National Anthem being sung by the entire congregation, in unison.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

CLASSES : PRE-SCHOOL AND PRE-PRIMARY

Day/Date: Friday 08 August 2025

The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm by the students of classes Pre-School and Pre-Primary. Children were introduced to the significance of the festival through an engaging and age-appropriate story session, helping them understand the bond of love and care between brothers and sisters. Following the story, the little ones participated in a creative activity where they made vibrant and colourful rakhis. The handmade rakhis were taken home as a special keepsake, making the celebration both meaningful and memorable.

RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

CLASSES : I & II

Rakshabandhan, a festival that celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of classes I & II on Friday, 08 August 2025. The celebrations aimed to instill the values of love, care, mutual respect, and emphasise cultural significance of this traditional festival.

A informative presentation included the historical background of the festival, its cultural importance and how it is celebrated was shown to the students. Visuals and stories were used to engage the students and help them understand the eternal bond between brothers and sisters. The presentation also highlighted the symbolic meaning of Rakhi, the sacred thread that sisters tie on their brothers' wrists, signifying protection and love.

Class I & Primary Stage 1

• Following the presentation, the students of class I and Primary Stage 1participated in a Rakhi-making activity. They used threads, beads, sequins, and other decorative items and crafted beautiful Rakhis for their siblings. Laughter and chatter filled the room as the children shared ideas and helped each other bring their designs to life.

Class II and Primary Stage 2

• Students creatively decorated a Rakhi plate, embracing the festive spirit and cherishing this special relationship. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity and proudly took the plates back home.

• The activities of the day culminated with students sharing their own experiences and stories with their class teacher.

All in all, the celebration was a heart-warming event that successfully conveyed the importance of sibling relationships.

FELICITATION CEREMONY
CLASSES : XI & XII

Delhi Public School, Dwarka organised the Felicitation Ceremony on Friday, 01 August 2025. The Chief Guest gracing the occasion was Mr Kaushik Dutta, Chairman, DPS Dwarka.

A total of 102 young leaders were formally invested with various duties they will shoulder all through the year. It was also a moment of immense pride as 45 dedicated scholars were awarded gold medals for maintaining outstanding academic performance for seven consecutive years. In addition, around 250 meritorious students were felicitated for their scholastic excellence.

The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The programme unfolded as a rich cultural potpourri, beginning with a melodic Hans Dhwani presented by the School Band, followed by a soulful rendition of Rabindra Sangeet by the School Choir, accompanied by talented instrumentalists. A thought-provoking talk show on ‘Leadership Redefined: Excellence Meets Well-Being’ left the audience mesmerised.

The school Principal, Madam Priya Narayanan, welcomed the distinguished Chief Guest and all others present for the occasion . She congratulated the newly inducted leaders and awardees, urging them to uphold the school’s motto - Service Before Self. The Principal emphasised humility in leadership, integrity in action, and empathy in service, reminding students that true success lies not merely in personal achievement but in the ability to uplift others along the way.

In his address, Mr. Kaushik Dutta emphasised that success is not relative but defined by effort. He urged students to embrace risks, face failures and solve problems with clarity. Addressing parents, he highlighted the role of life experience in guiding children. Applauding the scholars, he praised their dedication, and encouraged student leaders to inspire through action and uphold the core values of DPS.

The Hon'ble Chairman, bestowed the Badges & Sashes and administered the oath to the newly constituted student cabinet. He also conferred honours upon the Gold Medal awardees and Scholar Badge recipients for their scholastic brilliance.

The Apex Body solemnly pledged to uphold the school's motto and carry forward its legacy with commitment and dignity.The Head Girls, Jyotsna Arora, Ammie Arora, Aarna Arora and Aadya Arora along with the Head Boys, Shubhan Aggarwal, Anirudh Jha, Priyansh Gehani and Akshat Anand proposed the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the entire student council. They expressed their gratitude to the school and their parents for deeming them worthy of responsibility and encouraging them to believe in themselves.

The ceremony was witnessed by the proud parents of the young office bearers, Gold Medal recipients and the Scholar Badge holders of Classes XI & XII.
