SALUTING THE SPIRIT OF THE NATION
CLASSES : III TO V
To instil a sense of patriotism, courage, and respect for our national heroes among students, the school organized a series of activities on the occasion of Republic Day, Parakram Diwas, and Army Day for students of Classes III to V from Monday, 19 January 2026 to Friday, 23 January 2026.
Army Day
To mark Army Day, special activities were conducted to honour the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Students made posters showing soldiers protecting the nation and wrote slogans expressing gratitude towards the Indian Army. These posters were displayed on the corridor boards later. Teachers explained the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the country, which helped students develop respect and pride for our soldiers.
Parakram Diwas
Delhi Public School, Primary Wing, commemorated Parakram Diwas on 22 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The occasion was observed to honour the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and to instil the values of courage, determination, and selfless service among young learners.
Students of Grades 3, 4, and 5 were introduced to the significance of Parakram Diwas through engaging discussions and age-appropriate narratives highlighting the life and contributions of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Adding colour and creativity to the celebration, the children enthusiastically created beautiful posters depicting themes of patriotism, courage, and national pride. The activity not only encouraged artistic expression but also deepened their understanding of the values symbolised by Parakram Diwas.
The celebration proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience, fostering awareness, creativity, and a sense of pride in India’s rich history among the students.
Republic Day
Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Classes 3- 5. The celebration aimed to help children understand the importance of our Constitution and the values of freedom, unity, and equality.
The students actively participated in various creative activities. They made colourful posters showing the Indian flag, national symbols, and great leaders of India. Many students wrote beautiful poems expressing their love for the country. Others created short and meaningful slogans highlighting unity, patriotism, and respect for the nation.
The classrooms were decorated with tricolour drawings and inspiring messages. Students confidently explained their posters and recited their poems in front of their classmates. A class assembly was also conducted by the students which helped students feel proud of being Indians and encouraged them to become responsible citizens of the country.
Conclusion
The activities conducted for Republic Day, Parakram Diwas, and Army Day were informative and engaging. They provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity while learning about national values, courage, and patriotism. The enthusiastic participation of students made the events successful and meaningful.
